Planning a girls weekend to Dublin...advice?

My friends and I are looking into going for a weekend away to Dublin in late July this year. We've managed to find cheap RyanAir flights. Considering staying in a hostel to be cheap (we're poor students haha!) either that or a cheap hotel. Any ideas of hostels/hotels which are nice and cheap - doesn't have to be fancy but nothing too disgusting! Also any ideas on places to go in Dublin during the day - nice restaurants cafes places to see and also the nightlife - bars and clubs to visit etc. Any info would be great...thanks =]

  1. Just do some searches on discount hotels in Dublin. Dublin itself is a very small city and can easily be navigated on foot.

It will be far more fun just to get to where you are staying and have a look around, ask people, see where is busy etc. Temple bar is always popular with Tourists. Beyond that the Quays and some of the streets of Grafton street have some nice bars and restaurants.

Getting into Dublin from the Airport you can either get a bus or a taxi, I think the bus is around 3-4 euro each, (dont buy tickets from Ryan Air on the flight as its a rip off) a Taxi should be around 20 euro but is of course quicker.

I've never stayed there........I live here but I've hard its ok.

Some hotels charge per room not per person so if a few of you booked a room it might work out as cheap as a hostel but nicer.

  3. I would avoid Isaac's hostel if you want something decent. I suggest you price Jury's Inn at Custom House Quay - they charge by the room. For three people it would be about 108 euro, not bad for Dublin, but I dn't think it includes breakfast. Make sure you select Jurys *Inn*!

Kinlay House is OK and better than Isaac's. it is close to Temple bar and Christ Church Cathedral:

The Days Inn at Talbot Street is good, as long as none of you is over 6 foot in height!
