Planning a murder mystery party?

Im planning a murder mystery party for myself and several friends. i was wondering, how should i do it? does anyone have any tips or ideas? and are there any websites or something where i can look to get ideas? thanks!

p.s menu ideas would be awesome too

You can get Murder Mystery Dinner game sets - they include a suggested menu, and little descriptions of each character to include in the invitation (so each person knows how to dress & act) ... You can find them on eBay, Amazon.com, or probably most toy stores too......

For the food I would do like a knife cake, Brain jello mold etc kind of like halloween.

Make sure you encourage your friends to dress up for their parts. It is extra fun when everyone really gets into their role.
