I'm making a casual yet beautiful table setting for my sister in law's party. What colors go together? It is a casual fun event with a buffet dinner and there are going to be little red ladybug items on the table. So I need colors that will make the ladybug stand out and go with it. Does lavender or a pale pink go with it? What about a dark purple? Help!

  1. I would go with light greens and yellows, you don't want to lose your lady bugs on the table. I wouldn't go with pink or lavender, green and yellow are more natural and makes me think of a garden party.

  2. i would guess since lady bugs are red n black.. you could choose those colors.. maybe add a green for grass and yellow for sun.. and white.. well just for filler I guess.. but I am not getting a great mental pic of pink n purple.. sorry

  3. i say have little table clothes that have lady bugs or just decorate the table with balck and red clothes. you should also buy little lady bugs and put them all over the table so  that the little kids dont have to be bugged** lol with anything. you can rent a bounce house that has laybugs all over or maybe a slip ans slide with little ladybugs on the material.  but the best color that would go with it would be like a real light / pale pink to match everythoing.

  4. I think yellow would make the ladybugs really stand out or a bright kelly green - Ladybugs always stand out on green grass so that may be your best bet.  You could use some yellow flowers to accent everything.  Or you could use two different shades of yellows or greens.  Lavendar, pale pink and dark purple I don't think would help the ladybugs at all.  Most people see ladybugs and think summer which also is associated with brighter colors.
