  1. Yes!  Take a 20 minute ferry from Buenos Aires to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay.  It is really that close!  Enjoy the gorgeous colonial town for a few hours and then head on to Montevideo for an overnight.  It is an amazing city when you really look close, but may appear a bit sad because of the depressed economy.  Then head to a coastal beach such as Punta del Este (very much like South Beach, Florida) or I would suggest Punta del Diablo, a tiny, tranquil town about a four hour bus ride from Montevideo.  Spend a few days laying on the beach, walking along the beautiful coast, admiring the wildlife, and just relaxing.  The people are incredibly friendly and beautiful and welcoming, the food is delicious, and the scenery magnificent.  I highly recommend it!  Bon Voyage!

  2. forget the beach, spend your time in BA, its one of the best cities in the world and has such glamorous people too, plenty of nightlife, shopping and culture...........

  3. Yes, Mar del Plata it is at about 400kilometers South via Highway 2.

But remember, altough weather has been acting-up lately, this autumn in Argentina with temperatures of around 20degrees.

To-day April 20 is about 18degrees and raining!

Plus the water that washes the Argentinian coast comes all the way from Antartica and it is quite cool!

    Only 14deg in SUMMER!!!

To-day it should be aroudn 10.

But there is plenty to see and enjoy as a large city.

If NOT, Pinamar or Villa Gessel.

Warmer waters, Punta del Este, Uruguay, via ferry or plane from city airport (AEP) or www.buquebus.com

  4. Well, if you want to go to the beach in Argentina I recomend you cities like Pinamar, Cariló or Villa Gesell. Mar del Plata is nice too, but there is too many people.

In BA there is a lot of places you can visit, and two days is not enough time...

  5. Only two days in Buenos Aires?

I was there two years ago, and there was so many things to see and do. I was in love with that city, beautiful people too!

I was in Mar del Plata, it's nice, it was spring, so during the night it was a little chilly. Many theatres, seafood restaurants and shops. I also visited a place called Villa Gesell, a nice little town, not much to do, but very relaxing.

I think you should stay at least one more day in Buenos aires, that city is incredible, so european and fullof life.

    I want to go back!

  6. Well it is already fall in the southern hemisphere. But if you really think you wanna go to the beach in Argentina, I'd recommend Mar de La Plata. Otherwise, pack up things and head north to Brazil's northeast. Bahia and Rio would be best now!
