  1. Buying a motorcycle might be a little difficult for you to do if you're not a Cuban citizen. As for living long term, that would not be easy to do either as your visa will most like only be for a period of about 60 days (and can perhaps be extended through the embassy)...but won't be longer than 90 days.

Long term living in Cuba may either mean having a job there already set up for you (such as with hotel/tourism industry, teaching, medical, etc). Or, getting married would be the other 'long term' option.

You can rent a car (which will be expensive long term) and you can travel Viazul (one of the bus systems).

You may need to give a little more information about what you plan on doing in Cuba and for how long to be able to give a better idea of what you can do.

That said, check these sites for more details on what you may be looking for:

*edit: yes you're right...I apologize for the misunderstanding...yes you can stay up to 90 days with your tourist card and then request an extension for another 90 days...for a maximum of 6 months total...sorry, I mixed up some info.

Your field will be amazing to work in over in Cuba. Most likely it will not be a issue to extend your stay.

Have a great time in Cuba!
