  2. York in England but come to Scotland and see Edinburgh!

  3. London, of course, is prime, and York is good, but I'm also very fond of

Salisbury.  (The cathedral is superb, the Rifles Museum excellent,

Stonehenge is nearby, and Winchester not far off.  I'd strongly

recommend the Wyndham Park Lodge b&b.)

  4. London, of course is a very popular destination for tourists. There's the main sites to see, including: the London eye, Buckingham Palace (if you go there, watch the changing of the guards, it's great!), Oxford street for shopping.

York, which just happens to be my hometown, has lots of famous architecture. The minster is very popular with tourists (trust me!) and The Shambles is also a must whilst visiting. Museums such as the National Railway Museum are also worth a visit. The York Eye is a major hot-spot. It is a castle situation on a large hill, hence the name. I'm not sure how old it is, but it looks pretty impressive first time round. There's a museum inside that's pretty good.

Edinburgh could also be good. The Edinburgh castle is good. Many other sites to see...

Stratford-on-ouse is also very popular. It's close to London too. The home of Shakespeare and home to many, many ancient buildings and walkways. Beautiful to go to. Again, sorry, I can't really remember it. It's years since I've been, so I can't recommend anything!

I'd definitely recommend York to you. Maybe I'm just bias though!

Wherever you go, have fun and enjoy our beautiful country!

    :)
