My husband and I haven't been on a vacation since our honeymoon........10 years ago. We are well overdue and want to do this right.

We were thinking about going to a dude ranch and then maybe Yellowstone. I love horseback riding. Any advice from those that have been to Yellowstone and/or a dude ranch would be appreciated.

We are also open to other vacation ideas.

  1. Why don´t you go to Cuba !!!

It is very inexpensive and you will have the chance to see La Habana, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.  You will be able to admire the castles, palaces, convents, churches, museums, white sand beaches and enjoy their wonderful gourmet cuisine.    Best luck.    Ohh... remember to departure from Canada or Mexico.  In Cuba they will not stamp your passport.

  2. Some Asian destinations like Goa, India and Bangkok, Thailand provide excellent honeymoon destinatons which don't even cause much damage to your ATM card

  3. RE additional details...going to Europe but afraid of Language.

Fly to Amsterdam, Take a river cruise to bern Switzerland

All the commentary on the trip includes english, you sail by castles on hills, vinyards, stop in little towns every night and you can walk into the towns for a look around

It beats ocean cruising in the big ships by a thousand times.

Look up European River Cruises on Google, or with your travel agent.

  4. try Africa.  we speak english.

  5. The ultimate vacation is the one you both want and can enjoy.  I would receommend staying in the US for the first vacation - less travel time and more time to enjoy.  We just returned from Nashville and if you like country music you might consider it.  We haev also enjoyed vacations to the gulf coast of Florida, the Atlantic coast of Maine and last year spent 10 days in Germany.  Again - the key is going somewhere or doing something that allows you to enjoy yourselves and each other.
