same old All-Inclusive week stay at like a Bahamas, Jamaica, Caribbean vacation. Nothing wrong with those vacations but want something different. Like a secluded island, with huts, awesome beach, that not many people go to. Or something just different, but island theme. I know very difficult question, but worth a try. thanks a million.

  2. Curacao

Is in the Caribbean and all, but has a much different atmosphere, the culture is different, and there is a whole lot to do there.

  3. One of the prettiest and nicest islands I have had the privilege to visit is Providencials Turks and Caicos.

The water and beach are the finest you will ever find in the caribbean. The island boasts the third largest reef and the sand on the beaches are white and never get hot.

    Awesome and fantastic.

    Good Luck and enjoy.)

  4. Virgin Gorda.  But, August is no time to be going to the Caribbean.  It is prime hurricane season.

  5. Dominica..The person above gave all the links

  6. How about this for somewhere different?  It was the only one to this destination that I could find in English. http://www.rainbowtours.co.uk/1531/606

Not far away, but more remote still: http://www-personal.ksu.edu/~omar/Comoro...

If all that is too far away, here's somewhere else in the Caribbean which is utterly delightful and different. http://www.caribbean-direct.com/Marie-Ga...

  7. The island that 1 answerer mentioned called MARIE-GALANTE has a population of 13,000.

Try Culebra island off of Puerto Rico. There is only a population of 1,800! There are no major hotels, only small inns & villas. They have the whitest sand beaches you will ever see. The travel channel voted Flamenco beach as one of the top beaches in the world! Many of the beaches are completely secluded, plus there are small cays surronding culebra.  Its gorgeous. Check it out & see what you think :)

  8. Tahiti and Bora Bora in French Polynesia.

They are expensive, but it is totally worth it. Romantic and away from the crowds.
