  1. visit cruise information sites and find a good deal. next, u should start with handing out formal letters with information reagrding the trip at dinner or something, and announce the due date for the money. (ooo - btw, when include the schedule of the trip in the letters so they can see what's going to happen.) u should include fun games, etc in ur activies and stuff... and for formal dinner, have them wear dresses/suits since it's a formal dinner, and yeah... i hope it helped! i just listed some ideas based on what u asked! =) good luck! and it's really sweet that ur doing this for ur family! have funnn!

  2. Contact an agent and find out what kind of cruise deals are available for a large group.  Get itineraries, sample prices, room info, etc.  Type that up and email it or mail it to everyone that you're inviting and tell them a deadline to notify you with their intent.  Tell everyone that intends to go that you will contact them again shortly with more details and a final price.  Go back to the agent with your final number and determine that best way to pay.  You can do it either way...either pay it and have the family members reimburse you or have the agent contact the interested ones directly, with addresses you provide.  Typically, cruise lines require that you pay in installments, with the final payment due a month or so before you sail.

One you decide on a ship, contact the ship's social director (whatever that title is--your travel agent ought to be able to help) and let him/her know that you will be arriving with a party of x number of people and you'd like certain things planned.

Your travel agent again should be able to help you with much of this.  If you've never contacted one before, you don't pay them directly, they'll make money off your reservations.  They can make table arrangements for dinners on the ship, get rooms close (or far) together if you prefer, etc.

    Sounds like a fun time!!
