Planning for a tour...want to know about must watch places.?

We are 9 people (Family members) planning for a tour to vaishnodevi, jammu, shimla, kullu, manali, etc.

Our plan is for 8 days starting from 8th aug to 15th aug.

Need suggestions for;

1) Any nearby must view places

2) weather

3) What are the imp. things which we shld carry with us.

4) Hotels for 1 day-night stay (with economic rates)

For Vaishno devi  is in jammu. it will take twodays if u r going on foot to enjoy. An over night journey to Shrinagar from Jammu is a paradise. pahalgham and surrounding are beautiful sights. Shimla is a good place over all. kullu n manali are very beautiful and relaxing places. kangda devi is a must see in that area. Weather is cold in the evening and night. All types of hotels to suit all pockets are available.

I would like suggest to you that you should contact to an Indian travel agency for your tour detail.

I have recently returned from my India trip, really my tour was a great experience for me and I visited at north and south India.

So I would recommend a travel agency they would be assist and guide your properly for your tour.

All the places U have mentioned fall close to other places, Vaishnodevi temple itself takes 2 days from Katra near Jummu.  In Jummu U can shop & enjoy Wazwan 1 day. Shimla, Dharamshala in Meckloudgung, Dalhousie,Kuffri are worth a visit 3 days. Kullu, Manali since they are close by 1 day.  The best way for a family would be to take Himachal Pradesh Tourism & Dvpt. conducted tour to all the places, which would meet all ur requirement.  Dial ' Any Time Any Where Tele.No. 39999999 ' & give them ur requirement they would guide U through the information.  Since U are travelling in Aug. Carry warm clothing & bedding with rain coat/ umbrella.
