Planning to drive Bris. Adelaide, Alice, Darwin Bris. 6cylinderMagna verses 4cylinder 4x4Honda. Which is best?

Four people travellling, with luggage. Looking for advise on which vehicle for driving this distance which would be econimical with fuel and any off road.jChoice of 6cylinder Magna wagon or 4 cylinder 4x4 Honda CRV.Thanks, all replies appreciated.

the honda crv will handle it fine. i live in the territory and we see lots of tourist driving these. better on fuel to. please dont drive after 4 or 5pm if you dont really have to....lots of roo's jumping around from this time on. make sure the car has good tyres. drive careful.
