  1. honestly my dad is a professional athlete who has been to Cuba. He said is very strict airports in Cuba. Basically the only people allowed in are people comming back to visit, and people for sporting events. Good luck.

  3. Americans have traveled to Cuba departing from countries other than the USA. US citizens tend to travel from the Bahamas, Canada or Mexico to Cuba. The Helms-Burton Bill, legislation tightening embargo sanctions, which President Clinton signed in 1996, imposes without judicial review fines of up to $50,000 on U.S. citizens who visit Cuba at their own expense. It also allows for confiscation of their property. Basically, Americans are at their own risk traveling to Cuba and spending money there.

  4. Are you both US American citizens ?

With a passport and a tourist visa ( that you can buy on your arrival at

the Cuban airport you are allowed to visit Cuba for max. 30 days.

BUT BUT..... the problem will not be with the Cuban authorities, but the US immigration services. You need an OFAC license to visit Cuba.

( see http://www.treas.gov ) The license is only granted for special

purposes : humanitarian, cultural, medical etc reasons. Not for vacations. A lot of USA citizens travel ILLEGAL to Cuba through foreign airports Cancun in Mexico or Toronto Canada. This is not without risks. On your return the immigration services will ask you if you stayed in Cuba , if they can proof that you stayed in Cuba you get a fine ( up to 1.000.000 $) and / or prison. The customs will check your luggage, passport, passengers lists etc. I do not recommend this it's on your own risk but if you travel this way and an estimated 100.000 already did, throw away the Cuban visa ( Cubans don't stamp your passport for this reason) don't take any souvenirs , nothing that could point to a possible visit to Cuba. But think twice , till today it's illegal.
