Can i take a bus or train to the ferry that can take me there? How far from Madrid is it? Is it better to take a flight from Madrid to Ibiza and around how much is it? I plan to go in early November. Thanks in advance.

  1. I would do either just Madrid, or just Ibiza (or Barcelona, as Molertolga suggested), but cramming it together in one trip sounds like too much. In fact, if you're travelling in November, I wouldn't bother going to Ibiza because it will be a bit cold to go to the beach and the nightlife will be dead. You will find a lot more things to do in one of the two big cities. Barcelona is amazing, but be warned it's crammed with tourists all year round; Madrid is a bit less spectacular in terms of monuments and so on, but the nighlife is cheaper and there are less tourists.

  2. The  fastest way  is by plain, you can go by boat from Barcelona but you dont have enough time

  3. I agree with bcn_mimosa. You should at least spend two nights in Ibiza, there are lots of things to do. However I think in November the discos are already closed... The best thing is to rent a car and discover the island by yourself.

Also if you can afford another day, try going to Formentera by ferry from Ibiza. Wonderful mediterranian island "almost" virgin, nothing to do with Ibiza. Formentera is discovered best by byclicle or motorbike.

  4. Check out http://www.glennbrookstravel.com and check out the deals on my site.

  5. Madrid from Ibiza is 1 hr and 20 min on airplane.. You may want to go for at least 2 days .. It can cost from 50-100 euros round trip from Madrid.. Have fun..

    Take care..

  6. Hi,

Distance and therefore timewise surface transport isn´t really an option between Madrid and Ibiza. However flights acn be found cheaply between the two via Iberia, Spanair and now Easyjet. Whether its worth doing so just for one night is another question. If I´m completly honest the Party crowd will be in Madrid & Barcelona from now until early May next year anyway.

For more on Madrid airport and the airlines and routes in operation from Madrid check out the resources below.

  7. Ibiza is an island and Madrid is in the middle of Spain, 400 km from the sea shore. You can take a plane but it's not cheap if you don't buy it in advance and it takes more than 1 hour to get to Ibiza (plus the time to get to the airport, check-in, etc.), so you will need at least three hours to go to Ibiza and another three to go back.

The best thing you can do is forget about Madrid and go to Barcelona. It's a big city but with sandy beaches and great nightlife you don't even need to go to Ibiza!

    Good luck.
