Plant, Cultivate, Grow, Harvest? If You Lived On A Farm?

If you lived on a farm and or had a garden, what would you produce? Would it only be for family and personal consumption? Would you produce more than necessary for family consumption for market or sale?

I do have a garden and it is for personal consumption.  I grow citrus, avocado, veggies and herbs.  Though I try not to over produce, somehow certain veggies, like tomatoes provide quite the bountiful harvest.  So, I freeze the excess, make sauces and salsas and share with my neighbors.  I live in an area where there are citrus and avocado farms (groves), flower farms and backyard growers en mass, so we always trade with each other and some of the larger growers have stands, sell to the produce markets and grocery stores.
