Question:

Plant Breeding Books for beginners?

I am a rookie gardener and have always been interested in hybrid plants. Can anyone recommend a fairly cheap book on how to breed plants by graphing (I think that's what it's called) and so on and so fourth. I also would like it to explain to me the science behind it but in not much detail. What I am mainly looking for is something that will tell me how to breed, all the methods of breeding, and examples that vary in complicity. Thank You to anyone who reads this and especially anyone who posts.

  1. It's called grafting not graphing.  But you should be able to find a good and inexpensive book on plant propogation at Amazon.com or at a local college book store.

Plant breeding is fun to do, and very interesting.  Good luck with your new hobby.
