  1. they dont?

  2. Because they, like most other organisms, also do aerobic respiration.  (anaerobic respiration is much less efficient).

  3. actually plants do not require oxygen they produce it by photosynthesis

    6CO2 + Solar Energy+ 6H2O--> 6O2 + C6H12O6

    (carbon dioxide)            (water) --> (oxygen)  (glucose)

    Basically, a plant uses carbon dioxide, solar energy(which is converted to chemical energy ) with the use of water to produce oxygen and glucose . Plants are autotrophs meaning they produce their own food and then their products like oxygen and glucose are then transfered to heterotrophs like animals including humans which is important for the metabolim to function. Plants need carbon dioxide to produce their own food basically using inorganic matter which is water and carbon dioxide with the help of solar energy to produce organic matter such as oxygen and glucose which like I previously said is transfered to animals (heterotrophs are individuals that require a source of food from another organism) and basically we digest the organic matter producing inorganic matter by excreting them (CO2 and H2O) which is then again transfered back to the autotrophs(plants) and it continues like that all the time! It's part of the food chain! Hope it helped :)

  4. they dont require oxygen,only carbondioxide

  5. Like Kay said plants use oxygen in respiration. They produce oxygen in the initial & separate step of photosynthesis but they also require oxygen for cellular respiration.

    Respiration is the process that metabolizes food for energy  for growth. This occurs in all cells not just photosynthetic ones.
