    Because in animal cells

    1.next to the nucleus there are a pair of body called centrioles

    2.the area in which the centrioles occur is caled centrosphere

    3.the centrioles give out radiating fibres which take the form of a star hence called aster.

    4.during mitosis the aster gives rise to spindle apparatus.therefore in animal cells,the mitosis is calles asteral mitosis as centrioles are present.

    5.in plant cells there are no centrioles therefore no aster formation will take place.

    6.the spindle apparatus takes place with the help of microtubules therefore in a plant cell is called anastral mitosis
