  1. maybe you can put it in a hybrid container...

  2. I hope you mean a potted, aquatic plant? As you didnt mention.

But, if it is an aquatic plant you are looking at, and you want to float it, you can take the little plastic "pot" off and float it in your tank, you will need to tie it with thread or rubber band it to something to keep it from floating away and also for it to remain somewhat the shape you would like it in.

I you want to plant the plant, that's easy, I'd still take off the pot as it is not necessary, only for shipping to keep the roots from getting broken off and plant it in your gravel like you would a regular plant, only your using gravel and not dirt.

And no, aquatic plants for the most part are meant to be aquatic as it would be very hard to reproduce aquatic life in a regular  pot. I could be possible I guess it would have to be a very hardy plant type. Sorry i dont have a list, I like my underwater plants to stay, underwater.

All of them will grow out of the top of the aqaurium if you let them get that long. i'd trim them back every 4-5 weeks or whenever they become entangled with one another and generally.. 'wild' looking.

    If that makes any sense.

    Hope this helps!
