  1. transplant shock. replant it.  tamp down the backfill.  form a tree well.  mulch.  water deeply once a day for 2-3 weeks

  2. Your tree probably went into shock from being transplanted. You really do need to give it water everyday to get it going again. It will need at least 3 inches of water a day per foot tall it is. Water like this for at least 2 weeks by then the roots should be established if it is going to survive. After that you can water 3-6 inches per week that you don't get that much water by rain. I hope this helps.

  3. might be in shock......................water and miracle grow..........

  4. Water it!

  5. Water it, maybe shade it as well....

  6. Be patient.  do  not tear off the leaves.  Transplanting a tree is a shock to the roots especially the very small "capillary" root system that takes in moisture.  Many of there were torn off or damaged and will take time to replace..but caution.. do not overwater on a regular basis.  For the first few days water lightly several times a day (since it is already planted it is too late to saturate the ground under the tree) as soon as some of the leaves begin to perk up reduce the watering.  For the leaves to dry up so quickly it probably was neglected at the nursury for several days.  There is a small chance that the tree is damaged beyond recovery ..check your warranty..some places will guarentee it will grow others give a limited time warranty.  Do you know if your soil, climate is suited to poplar?  Join a good garden site like "gateways to our garderns" and post pictures, ask questions.  you will get lots more info that I can give here.
