  1. Yeah, half of the plant bulb should be on the surface. Light them just like wild plants, turn the light on at day and off at night. You should not exceed 8 hrs. since too much lighting can contribute to the formation of algae. You should use fluorescent lighting it works best!

  2. They need at least six hours of light a day! And its okay that you buried them but you dont have too if u just lie them on the surface of ur gravel as they root they will anchor themselves. It generally takes about 15 days to see any progress in your plants depending on what they are and they should be looking great in at least 30. If there still isnt any progress by then they probably arent going to grow. Or if ur unlucky like me ur fancy goldfish will suck on them like they are food and ruin their growth cycle lol.

  3. Hope these can help

  4. Unbury them.  These bulbs need a fair bit of water flow over them or they begin to rot.  If you bury them half way or even just allow them to float, there is a much better chance of them sprouting.  Also, make sure the light you have is intended for plant growth (5,500-6,700K), as this will more effectively stimulate photosynthesis.
