Planting carrots and strawberrys?

Question

i have no clue how to plant carrots or strawberrys and i want to plant the carrots for my rabbit and strawberrys for my family...can i plant them in this?> http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=36331-000001721-RR1212ST&lpage=none

i would plant in seprate pots and when should i plant them?...can i keep the pots inside all the time?

these are ok for a few strawberry plants but carrots need a bit more depth, if you plant carrots in the soil sow some onions next to them as this will keep the carrot fly away.use a good multi purpose compost and feed with plant food every other week
