I put a type of tree in water that I picked from thw backyard, as I plan to plant it somewhere else. It is growing more leaves.

When planting it somewhere, is it better for it to have more leaves or less? Will it be more likely to survive with less leaves or more(it is about 20 cm high)?

  1. For initial acclimatization period it will be better if ut is in shade. Number of leaves is ok,donot remove any of the leaves. Try to give the plant shade, donot keep it in direct sunlight. Water the plant regularly, at the same time keep it in welldrained condition. Once it is established and started producing more leaves then you can keep it in natural environment. By the way what plant is it?

  2. I think it is okay.  I think it is better if it has less leaves.

  3. when planting certain plants their leaves had better be removed. when there are no leaves, transpiration will be cut down and the plant will preserve its moisture and energy. I dont know how it is in ur case. And yes providing adequate shade and water is essential for sure. Good luck with ur plant!!
