  1. This is a bromiliad... don;t give it wet feet but make sure it gets a drink maybe once a week. These plants are kinda easy to grow i guess.. don;t dote on it too much. :)


  2. the leaves kinda look like a mother in law's plant.. which only bloom like every 100 years....  but i cant be sure.. need a better picture of the leaves.

  3. It's definately the matchstick bromeliad. Pot it into ordinary commercial potting mix, keep it in a warm bright spot out of direct sun. Water it by pouring water into the centre of the funnel made by the leaves. In nature they grow on trees in rotting leaf mould, so don't like their roots to be wet all the time. After the plant fowers, the clump of leaves that has flowered will start to die, and will produce shoots from the base of the plant that will grow and flower next season

  4. This plant is a bromeliad called Matchstix. It is natural to Asia and likes warm humid conditions. Don't feed it, it will like a soft peaty soil that is kept quite damp but not soaking wet all the time.
