Whats the risk of playing video games on a lcd or plamsa tv regularly, 6-8hrs daily. I was thinking to by a new tv but heard a rumour that plasmas can only be played for an hour on and lcd tvs have a slow reaction time with video games(i believe it's called response rate/refresh rate). Would either or be specifically worse for online lag?

If i were to put the settings on above average(such as 'vivid') and play 6-8hrs daily on a 50" plasma screen which was manufactured in 2007+ would i be subdued to burn-in? Do LCD's Burn in at all?

On a side question, can i play ANY video game system on a plasma/lcd tv for a prolonged period of time? ex Xbox 360, PS2, N64

  1. idk sry

  2. The new plamas are virtually immune to burn in, especially the Pioneers and Panasonics. Plasmas have very fast reaction times, unlike LCD. If you stick to new plasmas, you shouldn't have to worry about burn in - they are just like CRT's.

  3. my friend bought a plasma samsung when where done playing the ps3 you can see some images for a little while they eventually go away, but it convinced me to buy a lcd.... right now i dont play as much as you but when the new socom comes out i will be palying about the same and idont want to worry about it! cheers
