Plasma & LCD tv?

what are the reasons for plasma tv & lcd tv that they get so warm after being on for several hours ?

LCD you cant go wrong plasma TV burn into the screen you also need to be more careful when moving it they break far to easy. it don't matter that a LCD gets warm you don have to use much heating then do you get a LCD trust me mine is great.

The screen technologies create some heat themselves due to the power needed to operate.  LCDs have back lights and Plasmas must pump enough energy into the gas cells to cause them to emit light.  The set's power supplies also create a significant amount of heat.
