  1. I doubt theres a difference, but why go for a plasma, go for a LCD.

  2. Alright....this "True 1080 HD" is being used by many companies to refer to 1080p resolution. TVs are concidered high Definition if they can display AT LEAST at 720p resolution. Since this is a UK store...I'm not sure what the common practice is over there, but it should be the same. If you look carefully at the specifications, both tvs have a 1080p max resolution, which is currently the highest you can get. You can call a 720p or 1080i tv an hdtv, but the "FULL HD" is really just referring to tvs capable of displaying 1080p. In addition, if you want a 1080p tv, there are FAR more choices and availability of them in LCD than plasma. Most newer LCDs rival the black levels of Plasma and use less electricity, weigh less, and plasmas are plagued by reflections and glares. As an owner of both an LCD and plasma, I would suggest you go for an LCD. Just one techie's suggestion though! Go with what you like the best!

    Hope this helps

  3. 1080 is 1080.  The "True 1080 HD" is only a sales pitch.

Now, the major difference between 1080 TVs is the refresh rate.

  4. I'd check the specs onthe panasonic website if I were you.

for that price I'd get an LCD to be honest, plasma is onthe way out.
