Plasma TV issue?

Question

I've seemed to acquire lines on my screen, at first I thought they were screen burns from Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, so I stopped playing it and as time went on when not playing it more lines came up, I now have 12 of them and have no idea why, I managed to get rid of one of them ages ago, but I don't know how and have no idea how I managed to get them in the first place now. I'm thinking I have to take it back to the shop as its only 8 months old but I wondered if there was a way to fix it instead.

Are they there no matter what input you are using - i.e. game, TV, DVD etc?

If so, I would take it in.  If not, then there may be a problem with only that device.

As someone said, check to make sure it's the TV itself and not a problem with your game console or DVD player, etc. If the TV is like that ALL the time then that could be any number of different problems. There's nothing you could really do yourself to fix it, seeing as how almost anything can cause that problem. I suggest bringing it to a local TV repair shop and getting them to take a look at it and try to diagnose the problem. Shouldn't be anymore than about 50 to look at. And then that should tell you exactly what the problem is and you can go from there. To me, it sounds like its getting worse so you might wanna go up there as soon as you can before the TV acquires any further problems.
