Question:

Plasma TV mount, hydraulic ?

I have a room in the the attic where i am planning on hanging a plasma TV. The only problem is that the mounting surface (which serves the purpose of walls in the attic) is tilted at lets say 45 degree angle. If i mount a TV on such surface it will protrude into the living space too much. I was wondering is there a TV mount that would hold the TV flush against the wall (45 degrees) when i am not using it but would allow me to adjust it when i want to use it. My concern was that as heavy as the TV is it might not stay flush against the wall and would slide to be fully extended. Is there a mount that would have hydraulics or some other feature that would allow it to stay where it is supposed to be?

  1. Chief manufacturing has an automated mount that may do the trick (linked below) but you would need to call them and explain to be sure. I don't know the price of these but I'm sure they're very expensive.

    I just checked and it's about $1,400 so I guess that's out.

    Sorry
