Plasma or LCD TV ?

I'm buying a tv today. I'm looking at the Pioneer Elite pro 1150 HD Plasma 50 inch but having second thoughts about LCD TV's.

LCD, plasma's use a LOT of power, which is why they are cheaper.. Go with the LCD buddy.. You won't regret the LCD over the plasma when it comes to your power bill...

Plasma vs LCD

Both have their downfalls, buy a cheap one now.  Get a new one later when the new technology comes out, Organic LED

if playing games or hooking up a pc to it then buy an LCD.. if your only use is to watch tv and movies then buy Plasma

Plasma advantages over LCD:

-Better viewing angles.

-Ability to display deeper blacks.

LCD advantages:

-Higher native resolution (in most cases).

-Lower power consumption.

Cnet recommends plasma for 50" and above, LCD for smaller than 50".
