  1. plasma is just an adjective

pick whichever tv you want who cares which kind

  2. plasmas produce a better picture and work on a similar principle to CRTs, LCD are generally slower in response time and not quite as good in the contrast,  but plasmas use more power than LCD, lcds use less power and are cheaper to produce, but given time the picture quality of lcds will improve, so it depends on your preferences, plasmas produce best pictures but use more power and are generally more expensive also have a wider viewing angle, lcds are much cheaper to produce and use less power, but the contrast is not as good, and the viewing angle is less, also some lcds have exaggerated colors on flesh tones ,so skin looks bright orange instead of pink . look around and judge the purchase on what you your eyes see and what you want quality and power wise.

  3. Plasma is on it's way out, because it uses twice the power & last half as long as LCD. Plasma does have advantages over LCDs, but more disadvantages. Don't just take my opion ask people who had have a Plasma for over 3 years.

  4. I actually think that the plasma one is the one with the hard screen - it reflects everything on the screen (like sunlight). we bought ours at HHGregg.... it is a JVC and so far has worked really great and doesn't reflect. It is not a plasma. The guy we talked to was very helpful if you go there and ask them to explain the pros and cons to each one, and you can compare them side by side usually!
