Where can I purchase insurance for my plasma tv? I have heard things go wrong with these tvs often and I want to protect my investment.

The best, easiest way, would be to add it to your homeowners insurance list or renters insurance list, they will cover it if it goes out, burns in, or if you accidentally throw you wiimote into the screen and crack it.  If you bought it at Bestbuy or Circuit city you can go get their protection plan if it hasn't been, I think its 6 months, but they don't cover accidental damage.


  2. I believe you can purchase insurance from the place you bought your TV or google the web to find an appropriate insurance.

    However, be very careful about what that insurance will cover.  The most common problem with a Plasma TV is display (panel) failure or picture burn in due to prolonged static image on the panel.  Recently manufacuterers are using pixel shifting technology to minimize the pixel burn in.  If I remember correctly the insurance does not cover these types of failures.  Good luck.
