Question:

Plastic food containers with grease and perishable bits: Do they go into recyclable receptacle?

I have two garbage receptacles. One is for recyclable items like papers, plastic and metal cans. The other is for non-recyclable and perishable items.

I buy a lot of microwaveable foods, which are packaged in plastic containers. After I use the foods, I just throw away the plastic containers. They are empty but still dirty and greasy, and they would stink after a couple days. I don't waste my time to clean the containers, and I don't intend to. (So please don't lecture me on how I should spend some time to wash them so I can put them into the recyclable bin in order to save the planet -- that's not the answer I'm looking for. You're welcomed to come over to my places and wash them for me.)

Those plastic containers are recyclable, but grease and tiny leftover bits in them are perishable. So, do I dispose them into the recyclable or non-recyclable receptacle?
