UEFA President, Michel Platini, has praised the Frenchman for his achievements and believes that he’s the right man to lead the French national team.

The Frenchman also credited France’s good performance
to their current manager.
The former French manager said that the manager has a formidable reputation both as a manager and player, with his reputation being that of a reliable one.
Platini expressed his delight upon Deschamp’s current role and believes that the former Marseille player and manager is the right man for the job. He went on to state that the current manager has every right to coach and has earned his current position.
The three-time Balon d’Or winner is pleased with France’s current performance, and believes that the 44-year-old is managing the team pretty well. While asked about Deschamp, he said:
“His life as a footballer was great, his life as a coach has been great. Didier totally justifies himself being a manager. People often ask me about the team selection regarding high-profile players. They’re the ones who will need to show us that. There
are young players in the French team, we cannot judge them right now.”
The UEFA President also stated that the credit for the national team’s recent run of good performances goes to the players and the manager, whose vision and tactics have proved vital in their success.
Didier Deschamps was a product of FC Nantes’ youth system, and went on to play for their first-team as well. After that, the midfielder moved to Olympique de Marseille where he captained les Phoceens in their bid to win their sole Champions League title.

He also led the French national squad to a World Cup win in 1998, when the French defeated the Brazilians in the final, to claim their only world title so far.
