Manchester City’s first team coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Kompany-c36184 is fit to play in the upcoming game against Wigan Athletic, despite it being suggested that the defender might not be able to make the trip.
The centre back played a match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 this past weekend, despite having been on crutches just two days before the game.
In the game against the Blues, Kompany showed no signs of an injury and for the most part, he looked to be the strongest player on the pitch.
Platt when talking about Kompany is reported to have said: "It's not a case of it being too much at all"
"Vinnie would have still been feeling the effects of the injury that he picked up last Wednesday in the Chelsea game but he got through the game and got through it very well.”
"There were no after effects and he iced it straight afterwards as a precaution. We don't really have any concerns for him tomorrow night."
Platt also went on to hail Matija Nastasic, whose performances seem to have improved significantly this season.
“In the first couple of games he [Nastasic] had to get used to English football but he has done that very quickly.”
Platt then went on to drop some more good news for the City fans, as he confirmed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joleon-Lescott-c18941 was now fully fit and would be up for selection in the upcoming game against Wigan. However, he revealed that Gael Clichy was still far from being fully
fit and that he needed a little more time before he could start playing again.
He added: "Joleon is fine. He will be available for selection [on Wednesday].”
"Gael is progressing well, if not better, than we probably expected, but he won't be involved tomorrow.”
With so many of City’s defenders now coming back into the team, the club is bound to perform even better than they already have.
The team has been scoring goals at regular intervals, but once they start preventing their opponents from scoring, they are bound to go on and really push to retain their Premier League trophy this season.
