Play Street likely to play well in Weddings At Great Yarmouth Racecourse Fillies´ Handicap
Completing her maiden hat-trick of victories will be the prime objective of the Jonathan Portman trained chestnut filly, Play Street, when she runs in the Weddings At Great Yarmouth Racecourse Fillies´ Handicap here at Yarmouth racecourse on Tuesday, August
14.
The three-year-old young runner’s seven-race career reached the climax when she marvellously bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs during the last month. Gaining a lot of confidence from those victories, she is going to compete against nine worthy rivals
on the good to firm track of 1 mile and 1 furlong.
The fantastic filly started her career in December 2011. After a couple of pathetic performance, she managed to finish as the runner-up in the 32Red Casino Median Auction Maiden Fillies' Stakes, held at Kempton on February 16, 2012.
The talented daughter of Tobougg out of Zoena moved on to gain a third and a fourth position in a row during the month of May.
Finally, the maverick sprinter managed to break her maiden with the title of the Shares In Ishi Amy @ chrisbeekracing.com Fillies' Handicap that took place At Newbury on July 13.
The Anthony Boswood owned enthusiastic runner impressed all by winning the 12-participant race of the Tony Foxwell Memorial Fillies' Handicap that was held at Batch on July 26.
Now, Play Street is keen to bag third straight success in today’s marathon, but this will not be easy as Consider Yourself poses to be a tough opponent who is too on the verge of a hat-trick.
The Anthony Carson trained veteran mare also won two races in a row during the last month. After winning QSSD.com Vicente Plaza Handicap at Brighton on July 19, she notched up top spot in the Eastanglianairambulance.org.uk Fillies' Handicap (Div I) that
went down at Yarmouth on July 24.
These two back-to-back triumphs have spiked up the maverick mare’s confidence level to a great extent. Thus, she will not let Play Street to thrive easily.
