Play my ps3 online with a router only netgear?

can i play my ps3 online with a netgear wireless router but i have no internet but i do have a pc and no modem everytime i try to play my ps3 online it says dns error what am trying to say is if there is a way i can play online with my router only answers will be apreciated as i know there are alot of knowlegable posters here thanks

The way it works is that the wireless router needs to be hooked up to a modem. Along with that, you have to have internet access. An internet cable provider provides you with that modem. From there, you would hook up the wireless router to your modem so you can go wireless.

After that, your PS3 should be able to pick that wireless signal up and then you can begin to play online.

You need a modem. Then you connect the Wireless router to it. Without a modem you cannot even connect to the internet.
