PlayStation 3 Charts see Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Driver: San Francisco reign supreme
Microsoft’s Xbox 360 may have a reputation of being the console which caters to the needs of hardcore gamers but at the same time, PlayStation 3 is also known for being an all rounder. While many may argue and debate, one way to see how much truth there
is to the statement is to see which games sell well on each console.
One of the most gory fighting experiences in the world of gaming, Mortal Kombat is still managing to keep its place in the top 10 as its ‘Fatalities’ seem to be enough to keep it clinging on to last place.
Making a surprise comeback is Grand Theft Auto Episodes from Liberty City, which just goes to show that a game like Driver can also boost interest in games of a similar nature.
At number 8 spot is Ezio Auditore and the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood in which he belongs. It seems that the game has a few more leaps of faith to go through before the latest iteration, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations hits stores later on this year.
Another surprise comeback is the stellar and now classic game, Red Dead Redemption. It seems that like every good western, you just cannot keep it down, which is a testament to the depth and quality of one the games’ brightest stars.
Dirt 3 is still racing away in the mud, snow and tarmac and giving gamers enough of a good time to hold down a place at the number 6 spot. A solid title, one can expect the game to stay in the chart for a few more weeks at the very least.
Still selling well, despite the imminent arrival of Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops, is up there among the rest in the sales chart, sitting pretty on the number 5 spot.
The top four spots, however, are identical to those of the Xbox 360’s charts as it seems the entire United Kingdom seems to be on the same brainwave.
At number 4 is Madden NFL 12, which is what American’s like to call ‘football’, despite the fact that the ball rarely meets any player’s foot. However, that in itself is a never ending debate, and on the flip side it is good to see a sports game in the top
few spots.
Starting things off with the top 3 is Rugby World Cup 2011, the English version of American Football, and debuting at number 2, is Driver: San Francisco.
Maintaining its position at number 1 though, is the futuristic and stunning looking, Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
