PlayStation Vita offers gamers choice with impressive list of titles available on launch day
Sony have revealed the list of games that will be available from day one of the PlayStation Vita’s European release with a number of big names set to entice consumers into parting with their hard earned cash.
There has been plenty of hype surrounding PlayStation’s second generation of handheld portable gaming consoles since it was teased at the Tokyo Game Show before its official reveal in San Diego, earlier on in the year, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo
(E3).
The technology, capabilities and features of the PlayStation Vita were demonstrated for all to see and since then Sony have made a steady stream of announcements regarding the eagerly anticipated piece of technology included it price, as well as its release
dates in various regions.
However, there was always one concern in the back of everyone’s minds and that was the content, or to be more specific, the games, that would be on offer starting from day one and throughout the product’s lifecycle.
The list revealed by Sony seems to have put more than a few fears about that to ease as a number of PlayStation’s most iconic franchises populate the 12 spots.
It may not be developed by Naughty Dog but Uncharted: Golden Abyss seems to have retained the production value and gameplay mechanics that made its PlayStation 3 cousin such a huge success. Gamers can look to pick up Nathan Drake’s portable adventure on
day one.
High speed racing takes comes to the Vita as well with WipEout 2048, which is also a launch day title. The game is cross platform and Vita players playing 2048 can race with PlayStation 3 players who have WipEout HD.
Reality Fighters is the first augmented reality game make the list and it seems like an interesting enough tile, yet the rather cute look Little Deviants is another game that will look to utilize the Vita’s seemingly never ending list of features.
Gamers can also create their own tracks and share them with other gamers in ModNation Racers: Road Trip and Everybody’s Golf will look to make golf fun on the next generation of portable gaming consoles just as it did with this generation on the PlayStation
Portable.
Escape Plan, Gravity Rush, Hustle Kings, Top Darts and Super StarDust Delta are also among the games that are on the list.
Last, but by no means the least, is MotorStorm RC which will look to take the exhilarating MotorStorm experience onto the portable console.
All in all, the launch day line-up looks solid and with other titles such as Resistance: Burning Skies, FIFA 12, Unit 13 from Zipper Interactive and LittleBigPlanet also on their way soon after the Vita seems to be well covered in the games department.
