Gamers can expected to “Finish him” or her in the bloodiest and goriest ways this May as Mortal Kombat is set for a Vita release.
Many have hailed the PlayStation Vita as an incredible piece of technology yet the lack of games and the relatively high prices have meant that the console has not been selling as well as analysts would have liked.
Sony claim to be satisfied with the Vita’s sales and do not plan on announcing a price cut anytime soon, which if one considers the fact that the company are earning considerable profit on each unit sold, makes a fair bit of sense.
That, however, is the business side of things and there is one thing that concerns gamers and that of course is the quantity and quality of video games on offer for a console.
At the moment the Vita has around 40 titles available with Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Unit 13 and WipEout just a few of the titles on offer. Yet, even those have not been able to keep interest from waning.
What the console needs, according to many, is more content and more games, which Sony plans to address over the course of the next couple of months.
A number of titles are in the pipeline such as Resistance: Burning Skies and LittleBigPlanet, yet before that gamers will be able to get their screens bloody with Mortal Kombat.
The PlayStation Vita version of the game has been scheduled for release on the 4th of May in the United Kingdom and brings with a host of new features and gameplay mechanics.
Warner Bros. also commented on how the game will make full use of the Vita’s unique touchscreen capabilities. Gamers will be able to use the touchscreen and the rear touch pad to their advantage in order to deal deadlier blows and spill even more blood.
Another bit about the Vita version of the game that is sure to entice gamers is the fact that the Vita version will include all the DLCs that the home console version had, without the need of purchasing them separately.
