Playback prohibited by area limitations

i coverted my divx movie using convertxtodvd

my dvd play comes up saying

playback prohibited by area limitations

whats wrong?

Check the region settings in convertxtodvd. Chances are, you're creating a disc of a specific region that is not the same region as your DVD player. If the software is worth its salt it should be possible to create an "all regions" or "no region" DVD, but failing that you should at least be able to change the region to match that of your player.
