Player Profile: Kaka - Part 6
Kaka’s most “eventful” day was when Brazil faced the African team Cote d’Ivoire and the Brazilian midfielder was issued a red card after being involved in two incidents that left the referee with no choice other than issuing him
a yellow card and then a second yellow.
Despite such a poor performance in the FIFA World Cup 2010, he was still applauded for what he tried to put in for the team as the first goal for the Brazilians during the tournament was assisted by the former AC Milan man.
Kaka’s personal life mostly revolves around his childhood sweetheart Caroline Celico. The former Player of the Year got married to her on 23rd December 2005 in a church in Sao Paulo. On 10th June 2008, Kaka
became a father as she gave birth to the couple’s first child.
He was given the Italian citizenship on 12th February 2007 because of the “amazing” talent that he started to exhibit in advertisements of sports products producing company, Adidas.
Kaka also has a modelling contract with “Armani” and that was the only reason why he could not appear in the photo collection that featured all of his Milan’s teammates in Dolce & Gabbana.
Kaka’s role model has always been Sao Paulo FC’s former captain, Rai.
Kaka’s best friend is the fellow Brazilian player Marcelo Saragosa who is currently playing in the MLS team, Chivas USA. Both of them featured as the “best man” in each other’s weddings and are still in touch even though they live
so far away.
There have always been speculations surrounding Kaka’s religion as many are of the idea that he embraced Islam after marriage. However, all these speculations are incorrect and Kaka follows Christianity.
After the final whistle of Brazil’s 2002 World Cup triumph, Milan’s 2004 Scudetto and 2007 Champions League triumph, Kaka took off his shirt to reveal the inner shirt which read “I Belong to Jesus.”
When Brazil won the match 4-1 against Argentina during the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup, he revealed the same shirt which had another message stitched on to it and it read “God is Faithful.” In that match, his team mates wore the
shirts “Jesus Loves You!” in different languages.
On August 2010, Kaka was chosen by EA Sports to become the cover of one of the most popular football games, FIFA ‘11.
Kaka’s nickname is pronounced the same way as it is spelt. Even though some of his team mates and coaches have referred to him as “Ricardo” as that is his first name, he is still known as “Kaka” by most of the football watchers.
The nickname came into being as his newly born younger brother called him “Caca” because he had difficulty in speaking his real name “Ricardo.” Since that day, his name evolved into “Kaka” and now he is famous by his family name
as many don’t even know what his real name is.
Kaka is definitely one of the best players in the world. Even though he is currently out of action because of the surgery that he is going to be a part of, he is still the best and holds great talent at his feet. Once he recovers
from the injury, he is going to make an extraordinary comeback because everyone knows how good a player he is. Despite the fact Real Madrid have Mesut Ozil in their team, they are definitely going to try Kaka once he is back. Currently, there are speculations
that he is going to change his team and he is going to join some other club because the current Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho wants him to leave. However, that is going to be the biggest mistake that the “special one” is going to make, for sure.
Kaka, all in all, is a former “player of the year,” and one of the best footballers whose name is going to be remembered by all the football lovers who have watched him play!
