http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873: As is always the complaint from Walcott, when he gets going, he can cause any defence to fall apart, but when he doesn’t he seems like excess baggage on the team. Against Milan, the winger had a rather bumpy ride. For patches in the game, he
seemed to be exceptional, but those patches just didn’t seem to last long enough. At the same time, it is rather confusing as to what Walcott thinks while he is playing, since he could have easily destroyed Milan’s inexperienced fullbacks, had he attacked
them when he got the ball. The winger opted to take far too many touches on the ball on a number of occasions, but still looked somewhat threatening. However, when he was taken off due to an injury in the dying stages of the game, it became clear that his
silent contributions, coupled with his pace had been helping the team throughout the game.

as effective as he looked initially, but still managed to make some notable contributions. He had the chance to score a brilliant goal, but saw his shot get saved by the keeper. Unfortunately, Van Persie also failed to convert on the rebound.

He tested the Milan keeper early on from distance, but failed to score. However, with
all the pressure riding on his shoulders before th end of the half, he stepped up to take the spot kick, which he buried into the back of the net with ease. He could have made it four nil for Arsenal, but he inexplicably decided to chip the keeper from point
blank range, when he could have blasted the ball into the back of the net.
