Edinson Cavani tops the chart as his wonderful hat-trick helped Napoli to claim the top position as they beat A.C Milan 3-1 in a Serie A encounter at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday, September 18, 2011.
Bettor.com will now look at how the players rated in the game.

Morgan De Sanctis- 7
The former Juventus shot-stopper had an outstanding game between the sticks. He made some crucial saves from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901 and read the game really well. The 34-year-old made some extremely important interceptions
by coming off his lines and his handling and communication with his team-mates was so assured.
Salvatore Aronica- 6
Not the best of the games for the experienced defender, as he was constantly troubled by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313’s
goal. Unlucky to pick up a yellow card as Cassano was too soft to go down.
Paolo Cannavaro-7.5
The Captain led from the front as he dealt the threat of Alexandre Pato and Cassano with expertise. His positioning and reading of the game was top-class and made some really good tackles.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-c16384 Armando Campagnaro-7
The Argentine is no longer a weak link in the Napoli side and once again proved the critics wrong with an assured performance against the Champions. The 31-year-old scored a goal against Cesena in the opening league game and could
have made it two in two games had his header in the second half been on target. The former Sampdoria star had a few lapses in concentration and his mistake could have cost his side another goal when he left Aquilani unmarked in the 39th minute.
Christian Maggio- 7
The former Fiorentina star had an impressive game and was there for his team whenever they needed him in attack and defence. Nodded a great pass for Cavani for Napoli’s opening goal.
Walter Gargano- 7.5
The Uruguayan international had a fantastic game and anchored the midfield for Walter Mazzarri’s side. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mark-van-Bommel-c24148 in the game.
Gokhan Inler- 7
The former Udinese star showed why Napoli paid so much money for his acquisition in the summer. The Swiss international paired brilliantly with Gargano and played a huge role in setting up the first goal.
Marek Hamsik- 5.5
It was not the best of the games for the Slovakian as he failed to threaten the Milan goal. The midfielder looked tired and was rightly substituted in the 65th minute.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-c13065 Lavezzi- 8.5
The Argentine international passed a late fitness test ahead of the game and proved exactly why his team needed him. Lavezzi was pin-point with his crosses and linked extremely well with Cavani to bring down the Rossoneri. The
26-year-old led his team in their counter-attacks and his pace was a constant source of threat for the Milan defenders.
Edinson Cavani- 9.5 (Hero of the match)

Cavani started from where he left in the last season, as he hardly put a foot wrong in the game and completed a clinical hat-trick in-front of his fans. The lanky striker will once again be the main man if Napoli are to succeed
in the on-going campaign.
