Article continued from part 1 of the story
A.C Milan
Christian Abbiati- 6
The veteran shot-stopper could do nothing with any of the three goals. Made some important saves and intercepted well to come off his lines. The Italian was assured in handling whenever called upon action.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-c4710 Nesta- 5
Man of the match in the UEFA Champions League game against Barcelona in the midweek followed by a poor performance against the Partenopei side. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 star was at fault for Cavani’s third goal as he failed to clear his lines. Lucky to escape with
only a yellow card for kicking http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Salvatore-Aronica-c32276 in the second half.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-c34888 Silva- 5
Like Nesta, Silva also failed to repeat his heroics from the last game and was at fault for two of the three goals. The Brazilian lost the header which resulted in the equaliser for Napoli. The former Porto star would definitely want to forget the game as
soon as possible.
Ignazio Abate- 6
The most assured of the Milan backline and did well with a couple of important interceptions in the second half. The right-back did not get attacking support from his forward line and had little to contribute going forward.
Daniele Bonera- 5
The former Italian international got a rare chance to impress but could not make full use of the opportunity. The former Brescia star was bamboozled by Lavezzi’s pace and clever movement.
Mark Van Bommel- 5.5
The Dutch international lacked pace and could not cope with the strength of Inler and Gargano in the middle of the park. The former Bayern Munich star was the guilty in letting Gargano make a blistering run which led to Napoli’s second goal.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-c4309 Aquilani- 6.5
The former A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 star made his first league start for the Italian Champions and proved the manager right with a goal in the 11th minute of the game. Aquilani was undoubtedly Milan’s best player on the pitch and had two decent opportunities
to score in the dying minutes of the second half. However, he lacked energy in the later part of the game and his body language clearly demanded him to be substituted.
Antonio Nocerino- 6
The former Palermo star had a decent league debut for Milan and linked up well with Aquilani. The Italian was good going forward and made some strong tackles to help his defenders.
Antonio Cassano- 6
The most creative link of the Milan line-up, Cassano, was a livewire throughout the game. The former Sampdoria star provided the assist for his team’s only goal of the evening and linked up well with his team-mates.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-c4885 Pato- 5 (Villain of the game)
After a breath-taking start to the midweek game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, where he scored inside the first minute, Pato looked far from convincing against Napoli. The Brazilian international struggled to find the target despite his partner, Cassano, feeding him
with some delightful passes.
