Player hanged and not responding

Question

my safa sr m888f hanged when i removed it from usb drive, with a proper protocall without any errors.when it is in locked position and i press a start button it shows a lock and switches off. but when i move the button to on and press a start button, it does not show welcome screen.when connected to usb it gives a beep sound but is not recognised by a pc as a drive. so can not format it.tried to drain the whole battery and reconnected to pc but the same problem persists.please let me know any possible solution. [except to throw it away and get a new one. just jocking].thanks.jayant
