Player says loading and then says no disk

Question

I have a dvd 275 yamakawa dvd player. I've had it for two years with no trouble. Now, it says that the disk is loading and then returns a "no disk" message. We have tried unplugging everything as well as changing disks. I bought this dvd player new for $17, so it would not be a logical move for me to pay to have it repaired--any solutions?
