Players Extremely Frustrated with Failed Labour Negotiations -NHL Update
The National Hockey League (NHL) is, without a doubt, facing heavy losses in terms of revenue and players on the other hand, are getting more and more frustrated with every passing day as they realize that not playing just does not have an effect on their
wallet, but on their minds as well.
For most players, the lockout gave them an opportunity to go abroad and continue playing, but for the ones that chose to stay back and follow or either take part in the labour negotiations, these past few weeks have been the most hectic of their lives.
Having such a rise on optimism in a matter of days and seeing it drop down to all new lows, the sudden rises and drops really took a toll on some of the players, who including Sidney Crosby, are left with no choice but to take their game abroad.
"We knew what the issues were and we moved on those," said Sidney Crosby. "If it's the case, like Gary (Bettman) said in his press conference where they are going to draw a line in the sand, just say that. Don't waste guys' time there discussing stuff for
three days and try to find a way to make something work and then come and say that.”
"I don't really know what the next move is from here," he added. "That's not really the best way to get a deal done, I don't think. As far as trying to get progress, I don't think that helps anything."
There is no telling what both sides are going to do in order to bring the work stoppage to an end, which has affected both sides for nearly three months now as the previous collective bargaining agreement came to an end on September 15, 2012.
For now, no one has anything planned about what they are doing in the next couple of days as negotiations have just utterly collapsed and may have well seen the end without bringing about a happy ending.
Updates should be expected in the next couple of days as both sides plan something out.
