Players That Were/ Are Being Missed by Their Teams ( Part 2 )

The Barclays Premier League, is quite arguably one of the best if not the best league in the world at the moment, however being the best League means that it also plays host to some of the most competitive football on display. As a result of being so challenging
the League has managed to take its toll on a number of players. Here is a look at some of those players who were forced to be sidelined but were missed by their teams to a great extent

Bobby Zamora
The main problem that Fulham seem to be having at the moment can be summed up in one simple word and that is ‘Goals.’ The team has so far found it very hard to find the back of the net and as a result are dangling dangerously close to the relegation zone.
The one player that the team used to turn to time and time again to help them get a goal or two is Bobby Zamora. However Zamora managed to break his ankle earlier this season and the player who scored nineteen goals for the team last season has been missing
for the team ever since. Not even the likes of Clint Dempsey have been able to make up for the player’s absence and his return is one that Fulham are greatly anticipating.

John Terry
Chelsea have over the course of the last couple of weeks gone from being one of the most solid teams in the League, to being one of the most consistent. In fact the inconsistency even led to the team losing at the Stamford Bridge to Sunderland. When looked
upon closely it is evident that the team’s problems at the back started the day Terry was ruled out due to injuries. It might seem unreasonable to lay the whole team’s defense on their captain but the facts stand for themselves. Chelsea have performed the
worst so far this season when without Terry and that is something that speaks for itself. With the player nearing his return sooner rather than later, it seems like Chelsea might finally get back to their winning ways once again.

Frank Lampard
With Terry out of the team, the team’s problems can’t be solved completely with the return of the captain. The player that the team have truly missed so far this season has been Frank Lampard. Every since the player decided to go ahead and have his hernia
operated on, the team has seemed to lose a sense of creativity in the middle of the park. Apart from that there is no other player on the Chelsea roster who has the capabilities of filling in for the missing player.
Most experts have credited the Chelsea forwards for the team performing as brilliantly as they have lately, however they also strongly feel that once Lampard does make his return to the side, the team could get back to the same style of play that saw them
beat the all time goals scored record in the Premier League.

Thomas Vermaelen
Over the course of the last few weeks, Arsenal have gone on to display a lack of bottle, steel and some very poor organization at the back. The team has been flaked off and the defenders have been made to look like children on numerous occasions and this
is down to the fact that the heart and soul of the Arsenal defense Thomas Vermaelen has been out of action for quite some while.
Not only in the player one of the best at what he does, he also adds a sense of fear into the opponents that face the team. His never say die attitude and straight forward approach is something that Arsenal are in desperate need of and his return is one
that would help propel Arsenal closer to landing some silverware this season.
