The 55-year-old is considered to be one of the best batsmen produced by Pakistan and his cricketing intellect is also admired all around the world.

The Karachi-born has no doubts that an experienced player does not require any coaching because he should be able to understand his game better than others.
"I have always said that players who have played around 200 ODIs or 50 Tests don't need any coaching. They just need to be fine-tuned. I believe the younger players can benefit more from my experience," he said.
Miandad further added that a coach has certain limitations in cricket because the major responsibility lies on the players’ shoulders. The legendary batsman related the situation with his era, when the cricketing fraternity produced a number of greats without
much of a coaching.
"A coach can only advice a player but it is the player who has to go and perform and handle the situation in the middle," the former captain added. "When we played no one coached us, we learnt by ourselves because I believe once you play for the national
team it is your responsibility to keep improving and learning."
