Do you think that players from the 80's like Larry Bird, Isiah Thomas, Clyde Drexler, Dominic Wilkins, Karl Malone, Moses Malone, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Julius Erving, and others still play basketball today? Like do they go down to the local gym or to the park to shoot some hoops or play some pick up games with some older dudes? I mean its hard to believe that these people played basketball almost everyday in their lives and now do not play at all. Also, I was wondering out of the mentioned and any other player who had their prime in the 80's is still probably good. Isiah seems very fit, and many people still say Malone can probably still play in the league. We all know Magic put on the "few" pounds but do you think he can still ball? Most of these players are still in their 40's or early 50's and considering Jordan is 45 and we all know he still can dunk and shoot. I wonder if any of these other guys can still dunk, Dominic, Clyde? What do you guys think?

  1. This is a great question. And yes, these players probably have courts in their homes (why would they go to the park/gym, remember, most of them are filthy rich), and probably go around for a workout every couple of days.  It's hard to believe that they don't play AT all.

  2. I know for sure that Jordan still playes with bunch of fat white dude's ..

I don't think those players you mentioned can play in NBA and be effective ... They can't run too long ... they would have to be on the bench ...

No they can't dunk in game .. and Bird can still knock down shots ..

  3. Yes, they probably do play with friends, but on their private courts or at a country club.

Of course, they probably only play half-court, 3 on 3. Play to 21.

I remember when Pete Maravich died. He was in his 40's, in great shape, and playing basketball with friends, when he died of a heart attack.

  4. Michael Jordan at the age of 79 would have still beaten Kwame Brown at the age of 20.

  5. Of course...Street ball....lol

  6. a lot of those guys still play in NBA Old Timers games and probably tune-up before the date of the game so they don't embarrass themselves (lol!)...also there are over 40 and over 50 leagues ALL OVER the country (the trick there is to get in with EVEN OLDER guys and look like D.Wade or Rajon by comparison - ROFL!!)...
